I loved every single second of the retreat. I was able to express myself in ways I haven’t before surrounded by people who were fully committed to listening and accepting me for who I am underneath all the layers! Being able to work in groups of people I wouldn’t usually work with was particularly enlightening, we shared ideas and inspired each other to better our creativity and ourselves! Honestly just thank you, so much thought went into this and it was the most precious experience for everyone, one of those photo album kind of summer memories! I can't tell you quite how incredible the Find Your Light Retreat was, but I can tell you this, you should do it. Be a part of a wonderful group of people, who's only intentions are to make you smile, laugh and cry (in a good way). Go and find your light with Kyla and Natalie, I was only there for a few hours over a couple of days and even in that short time and as a workshop leader, they helped me to re-discover mine.

Honestly, it exceeded my expectations!! I knew I was going to have fun, but I wasn’t prepared to feel as inspired and emotional as I did!! I keep trying to find the words to describe it, and my brain can’t function!! Which I think says it all - find your light was more of a feeling…it ignited a passion for creating that I had lost over the last couple of years, and I am incredibly thankful to you guys, and, actually, to myself - that I said yes to attending…I almost said no as I was anxious about being somewhere new with so many people…thank goodness I said yes!!

My experience was definitely a positive one! I found that after an initial bit of nerves I started to relax and get stuck in. I had one or two blips in my well-being, all from my own baggage rather than cause by anything external, and thankfully I had the space and time not usually afforded in daily life to take myself away and let it pass. What’s more, in these moments I even felt encouraged from our activities to process the feelings into something on paper. I also found that the whole week was a reminder of my truer self, flashing back to when I was a theatre kid who came alive when playing/performing with friends. I’m older now, and I’d like to think kinder and more considerate too, but I’m grateful I’ve kept that love of sharing myself and the things I enjoy. Thank you!
